Quality Electric Contracting Inc was started by Hugh “Dyoll” Turner in 1972.
Dyoll started his company initially with the concept of providing electrical service needs to the region he was raised in.
In 1978, after incorporating his company and growing into more commercial projects, Quality Electric began to expand into new areas and started to travel outside the region of Hendry County to perform jobs on both coasts adjacent to Hendry on the east and the west. By the mid 80’s, QE had grown into a more commercial and industrial driven company that was performing a majority of it’s jobs outside of the town. We installed a large number of recreational field lighting systems. We also electrically wired schools, hospitals, and large buildings.
In 1987 Quality Electric bid, and was awarded, the first of what would become our current niche market, electrical integration of bascule bridges. Since the late 80’s, we have performed thousands of jobs on hundreds of bridges throughout the southeastern United States. We have gone as far north as Wappoo Creek, South Carolina and as far West as Biloxi and Gulfport to perform large bridge contracts. We have delved into the New Orleans area to do some emergency repair work on bridges, but not engaged in any major contracts. Our focus area is from around Orlando south and we currently have projects going in most metropolitan areas throughout the state.
Quality Electric got away from the service industry for a number of years. Following the back to back multiple hurricane seasons of 2004 and 2005 we began to provide our local community with a definite need. Following the return of Dyoll’s oldest son Kenneth Turner back into the company, QE has once again regained the reputation of being a small town service provider for the people of this region.
We currently operate two trucks out of our Clewiston headquarter office and have plans to enlist another service truck in the near future.
As the economy has shown signs of declining QE has pooled its resources and again has shown that we intend to provide a quality product to our clients regardless of the economic climate. We have managed to keep all of our employees intact through this slow down and have come together to make sure we are operating in an efficient manner.
